3 Real Reasons Why Most Diets Fail…

What’s New on
Dr. Lark’s Blog

Dear Friend,

There’s a good reason why most diets don’t work—or only work temporarily. And I’m not just talking about the fad diets (it’s pretty obvious why those don’t work, no one’s going to eat cabbage soup for the rest of their life). But even the healthy diets that teach you about portion control and healthy substitutions don’t address the underlying causes of weight gain and retention. Without looking at those, it’s next to impossible to take the weight off and keep it off. Another wrench in the “diet works” is that these underlying causes vary from person to person.

Through years of research and working closely with women on weight issues, however, I’ve been able to narrow down the causes of weight gain in women to three very manageable sources: false fat, Metabolic Syndrome, and lifestyle. Identifying the reasons WHY women struggle with weight allowed me to develop tools to finally—safely and naturally—help you take off the pounds and keep them off for good!

The key is to find the right targeted nutrients that work along with a healthy diet and exercise program to give you better, faster results. In other words, we can look beyond diet and exercise into other natural sources that directly address why you gained the weight in the first place—and why it’s so difficult to shed it now. Let’s take a closer look:

1. False Fat Could Be Your Downfall, if You:

  • Have trouble digesting certain foods
  • Regularly experience bloating or gas after eating
  • Tend to retain water
  • Carry excess bloat around your midsection

If you checked any of the above, then it’s likely you struggle with “false fat.” Unlike regular fat which is due to excess calories, “false fat” is actually a digestive issue.

Many foods, including red meat, dairy products, eggs, and fried and processed foods, can be tough for women to digest. This results in excess fluid accumulating in the intestinal tract causing gas, bloating, and swelling. Excess salt that’s often added to low-fat foods can do the same thing. This “false fat” can affect your body shape, exaggerating your mid-section and making your clothes—and even your rings—feel tighter. Plus, it can show up on the bathroom scale as water weight, disguising your true weight.

This is actually good news—because nature has provided some excellent solutions that target every aspect of the issue so you can eliminate the water weight and bloat. What you want is a natural way to “wash out” excess water retention without losing vital minerals, plus feed your digestive system the most effective natural enzymes. You can find my recommendations together in my Daily Balance Silhouette™ formula, or use it as a source to create your own solution.

2. On the Other Hand, You May Have Metabolic Syndrome, if:

  • Your waist is bigger than your hips
  • You’re watching your blood sugar
  • Your blood pressure is on the high side of normal
  • Your doctor told you that you need to raise your HDL (good) cholesterol

If you checked more than one of these, you may have Metabolic Syndrome—a collection of factors that indicate possible future health concerns. As far as weight goes, Metabolic Syndrome gives us a whole new way of looking at fat and what it means to your health. Best of all, it gives us a simple and natural way to help shed excess pounds.

In addition to a healthy diet and regular exercise, there are three natural, incredibly well-researched nutrients that address the factors involved in Metabolic Syndrome and in turn help you burn fat and maintain lean muscle. One of the nutrients is chromium, a well-known staple in natural blood sugar control, which is fairly easy to find (based on research, I recommend 200 mcg daily).

The other two nutrients are not readily available, especially because I only recommend the same exact forms used in the research. That’s why I developed my own formula to address Metabolic Syndrome, and the “apple” body shape that goes along with it. It’s called Metabo-X™ and you can learn more about it here.

3. Or You May Struggle with Excess Weight Because of Age and Lifestyle: False fat and Metabolic Syndrome are very specific reasons behind excess weight. If you don’t fall into one of those categories but still struggle with excess weight, you can likely blame shifting hormones, a less-than-perfect diet, and general lifestyle factors. If you’re nodding your head here, I have extremely exciting news for you.

A colleague of mine recently developed an all-natural, completely safe weight loss booster with an amazing, unique green tea extract proven to help you lose three times more weight than with diet and exercise alone. In fact, study participants lost up to 30 pounds in just 90 days! On top of the incredible weight loss results, this new formula, called TonaLean-3, also helps you maintain lean muscle mass and decreases your body fat percentage. It’s completely natural and safe—and caffeine-free, which I love.

Now you can finally shed the extra pounds—
no matter how they got there in the first place!

I hope you can see now that diet and lifestyle aren’t necessarily the only factors when it comes to carrying excess weight. To lose weight effectively and safely, you need to make sure you’re addressing the right causes of the weight gain in the first place. Once you do that, losing the weight, and keeping it off, becomes immensely easier!

Here’s to a Happy and Healthy New Year,
